Where should I start? I ordered the IDW exclusive edition of the comics some time ago and it arrived yesterday. There are only 300 editions of this issue with exclusive cover and I have one of these 300 in my collection, which I am beyond grateful for. I didn't find the time to read the comic yesterday, but had some time today. The comics are relatively short, comprising 40 pages per comic.
The first story is about our lesbian couple Toralei and Clawdeen, and how the two of them try to set up a small summer hangout place for the ghouls. They meet new characters, learn something about their relationship and meet unpleasant forest creatures. Toralei and Clawdeen's relationship really takes a bit of development in the story. Despite this, I would classify their relationship as somewhat toxic. Both are very stubborn and have a leadership instinct, which is why they sometimes clash. I think it's cute when they pull themselves together and realize how much they love each other, but the atmosphere of their relationship is still a little tense. Unfortunately, we didn't get any further information about how the two of them got to know each other romantically, which I think is a bit of a shame. Hopefully this topic will be covered in future, upcoming comics. But that was really all I had to say about Toralei and Clawdeen relationship.
Another lesbian couple we were introduced to in the Toralei and Clawdeen comic were Jackie and Bridgett. They helped Clawdeen and Toralei with their project. And what can I say, I love them! They have a really healthy relationship and are really exciting characters. They are so different from each other, which makes them a perfect match. The two of them were just super cute and I would be happy to see them more often in Monster High media.
Last but not least, I would like to talk about what, for me, is the sweetest couple: Spelldon and Valentine. The story was mainly about the two of them wanting to create a potion because Kieran didn't want to feel emotions anymore because he realized how awkward he could get because of them sometimes. And of course they fall in love with each other. The two have so much humor with each other and have a relationship based on love and also a bit on irony. The two often express themselves ironically in everyday situations, but when it comes to emotions, they become transparent and clear. They are not too strict with each other and just go with the flow. They both have a goofy attitude about them, which makes them a funny duo! I just think they're both SO CUTE and every now and then there was even some tension between them. LOVE THEM SO MUCH!
That's my opinion on the couples. Have you read the comics yet? What is your opinion about the couples? Let me know in the comment section below! #Pride #MonsterHigh #Collector #Toradeen #Spelltine
